FROM ILHÉUS (approximately 3 hours):
The best way to come to Denada is taking the transfer in Ilhéus to Camamu (what takes around 2 hours), where speedboats leave hourly and arrive in Barra Grande in 30-40 minutes. The last speedboat leaves at 5pm.
In case you arrive in Camamu after the last speedboat, you will have to arrange a private boat crossing.
If you come by car on the BR-030, avoid the trip at night because this is a dirt road with no mobile phone signal.
FROM SALVADOR (approximately 6 hours):
Go to the São Joaquim Terminus to make the ferry crossing to Bom Despacho (what takes around 1 hour). The ferries leave hourly.
Follow the BA 001 road, passing by Nazaré, Valença, Taperoá and Ituberá until the city of Camamu.
We recommend to park the car in Camamu and take a speedboat to Barra Grande.
